Passion Week Recap

This past week, we were able to experience our first ever virtual Passion Week! This is the week that leads up to Easter Sunday. Throughout the week, we were able to experience many eye opening messages and share it with our friends and family. As this is my first time celebrating Easter with my A2F family, here is my recap of my experience:

On Tuesday I went through the Passion Experience with my life group...

This online experience was incredible, as it went through the journey leading up to Jesus’ death on the cross. It not only talks about the different significant characters that impact Jesus’ death, but it also allowed me to reflect on how I can relate to the characteristics of people like Jacob, Pilate, and Peter.

You can experience it yourself at https://passionexperience.org

On Wednesday I read through the Passion Reader on my own…

My favorite story from the Passion Reader (a compilation of stories handpicked by our church to remember Jesus’ last week) was ‘Remember Me.’ It tells the story of Jesus’s crucifixion through the perspective of the man who died next to Jesus. The story was extremely touching and provided graphic details of His pain, which enhanced my understanding in how big His sacrifice is for me.

On Friday, I hopped on to the online Good Friday service from Gracepoint Church…

The Berkeley Pastor Ed talked about the significance of the cross--it is the measure of our sins, yes, but it is also the measure of how much God loves us! One way that Pastor Ed illustrated this was through a heart-hitting video where we realized how our sin has cripping ripple effects. Like a boy who would bully an immigrant kid and left him crying on the playground. Then after school while he was walking home--he saw the same kid crying in the same spot, now just with his mother crying next to him. But what if he didn’t see this? This is a question we might have when we see the consequences of our sins, but we can’t change the past. We have these moments where we see we are this bad. BUT the good news is that the cross that Jesus died on covers it in full!

On Sunday, I celebrated Jesus’ resurrection through the Sunday Service…

Easter Sunday was beautifully celebrated with a huge virtual choir and Pastor Steve’s message about Jesus’ resurrection. After the service, we all met up on Zoom and created an epic wave! Check out the virtual choir here at: https://www.gracepointonline.org/

He is risen. He is risen indeed!
