Hey y’all

I wanted to compile some of our favorite playlists for you to check out, especially if you’ve been getting sick of the same ol’ songs you’ve been replaying during this quarantine! Our members give a little insight on why you should check it out too! (:

The first playlist we are featuring is from one of the most musical people I know, she shreds it on electric (so you know it’s good)… Deborah Reyes—one of our freshmen mentors!

Playlist: The Good Christian Music Blog by thegoodchristianmusicblog

“I like this playlist because it posts a wide variety of new music and I'm always looking to discover something new. This isn't your typical "on the radio" kind of Christian music. It has pretty modern vibes and can go from alternative to rap to pop to gospel. Lots to discover!”

There’s Grace singing on the far left!

Here’s a recommendation from our creative friend, Grace Sturlaugson, who is one of our Sophomores! She has an awesome voice too! (:

Playlist: Chris Renzema Radio by Spotify

“This is my favorite playlist right now because it is constantly updating with chill but good songs. I have found some of my favorite songs just cycling through this playlist. It is perfect for walks or doing homework to and puts me into a good head space. It has a nice acoustic vibe and shuffles some unknown artists into the mix which is refreshing.”

Up next is from Jade Yang, who is another Husky Connect mentor and a graduating senior!!! Congrats Jade!

Playlist: Peace of Mind by JinJohn

“Just as the title describes, this playlist is really chill and brings a sense of peace. I like listening to it when I feel like there is a lot to do or when I have a lot on my mind.”

There you can see Carolyn in the middle on drums!

From one of my good friends, Carolyn Lee—who is also a freshmen mentor and is a killer drummer recommends her own playlist! (And I testify that this one is a goodie)

Playlist: Chill Christian Jamz by Carolyn Lee

Why do I like it? I personally like chill electronic music which this playlist mostly consists of, including some dance, synth pop, r&b, and chill rap. I'm all about the chill vibes. Follow my playlist if you like any of that stuff. I have 94 followers! (;”

Here is another one recommended by another graduating senior, James Lee (and no him and Carolyn are not related haha). He is pretty musical and even leads praise at Gracepoint Seattle sometimes! Here is a playlist he put together himself, but don’t know if I can testify to this one… (just playin’ I am sure it is good too (: )

Playlist: Christian Upbeat by Jamestlee513

“This is one of my go-to playlists I put together from my own personal picks. It's got some chill songs, groovy songs, slightly hype songs, and even some praise songs, but they're all generally upbeat and bright!”

Our next one is recommended by John So, one of our Juniors and Husky Connect mentors.

Playlist: Dalkom Cafe by Spotify
”Often, turn to this playlist to play for Snowy Village, a Korean dessert place I work at. Here are some chill Korean songs that are not too intense but are interesting enough to listen to. I use it sometimes while I’m studying as well for some nice chill background music.”

Last (but not least) one recommended by Christine Lee or “CA” (she is from California and we call her that because we know two Christine Lees in A2F). Her description is short and sweet (if you know CA, you know she’s a woman of few words).

Playlist: The Good Cup by Spotify

Why she likes it? “It’s like calm Christian music that’s kinda indie-ish. Actually not indie-ish just calming.”

Actually I am going to throw one more in there for y’all! Here is my own recommendation, a playlist put together by one of our other members. It’s a lengthy playlist that I never get bored of! Hope you find our music taste helpful! Catch y’all on zoom later!

Playlist: Christian Folk/Indie by Kevin Hou
